100 years of electric trams in Melbourne

Melbourne will celebrate the centenary of electric trams in 2006. In order to celebrate this landmark, the TMSV plans to fully restore Melbourne’s oldest electric tram, NMETL No 4, which opened the Essendon line in 1906.

The TMSV is seeking funding to assist in this restoration program. Australian residents should note that donations to this cause are tax deductible.
